The Responsible Gambling Advisory Committee is a provincial advisory group, made up of organizations interested in responsible gambling, who help inform, guide, monitor and evaluate the implementation and results of the Both Sides of the Coin responsible and problem gambling strategy.
The objectives/goals of the Committee are to:
- promote responsible gambling, prevent problem gambling and ensure the availability of treatment services through the implementation of best practice programs and initiatives;
- identify research priority areas and disseminate research results for consideration in the development of gaming policy;
- ensure stakeholder involvement throughout the development, implementation and evaluation cycles of responsible and problem gambling programs and services delivery; and
- provide a more inclusive and ongoing forum for industry consultation on proposed new policies and/or programs.
