The AGLC in partnership with Alberta Health Services (AHS) and in collaboration with other key stakeholders have developed a comprehensive five-year strategy that focuses on promoting responsible gambling and preventing and reducing incidences of problem gambling in Alberta. The strategy titled "Both Sides of the Coin..." focuses on 3 major outcomes:
- Ensure Albertans who choose to gamble have the resources they need to make informed decisions.
- Minimize gambling related harm.
- Create healthy, sustainable gambling environments.
These outcomes will be realized through leadership and coordination; research; and planning, implementing and evaluating of all the various strategies and processes identified in the "Both Sides of the Coin..." strategy document. For further information about the strategy, Click here
